Steps Prison Team is blessed to be able to host church services at the Middleton Church on the 3rd Sunday of every month. For this service we arrive at the unit around 7:30am to go thru security and go down to the gym to set up. Service starts around 8:45. Depending on the availability of TDCJ staff, we will either have 1 or 2 services, and also have a small group go into AdSeg (administrative segregation) to bring a short message and pray (individually) with each of those men. If we only have 1 service we will leave the unit around 11:15, if we have 2 services we will have lunch in the ODR (officers Dining Room), repeat the 1st service for another group of inmates and leave the unit around 1:30pm. 

Our church team consists of a very gifted worship team, spirit led speakers, testimonials from men and women who have walked away from a life of sin, and are now walking a spirit led life. We also facilitate prayer chairs. This is an opportunity for the men in white to come receive individual prayer. These chairs are set up with 2 prayer partners for each inmate. We like to have at least 10 sets of prayer partners, and those inmate seats are rarely vacant! 

Beginning in February 2026, Steps Prison Team will be hosting a church service at the Robertson Unit on the 1st Sunday of every month. It will have all the same factors as the Middleton Unit. We are not clear yet on the exact times of those services, but we will update this text when we are clear on that.
